Two things.
One: I've totally had it with health care providers and their know-it-all attitude. Of course, if they know more than me, I'll happily listen, but if in the span of 2 hours you get told by your GP that you 'just shouldn't pay attention' to an annoying, itchy, ugly rash on your torso 'because these things happen, and it's not that bad' (yeah, these things happen, that's why I want you to give me something to make them un-happen, because itchy blotchy skin makes me unhappy), and then by the pharmacy tech that it's 'very bad for the body, yes?' to use BC pills to skip or postpone a period (I do research this stuff before I do it, y'know, and it IS actually safe enough), it starts to get annoying. I live in this body, do you think I am completely unaware and uninformed about it? Geesh.

One accidentally self-inflicted (pinched myself a bit too hard to avoid moving while getting a filling replaced). One in a 'scary' location (wrist, down the tracks, looks scary but is really just the result of a killer bunny's claws, years ago - wasn't more than a scratch, but left a bit of an unfortunate scar).
